I've been lurking near the feeder trying to get better shots but they keep a weather eye out at all times.

What a pretty little bird! He looks quite camouflaged up in that tree in spite of his bright colour.
ReplyDeleteLovely and really good photos! I have not seen this kind of little yellow bird before!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots! And thanks for sharing the fun facts. There is so much I don't know about birds....
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my Saturday Snapshot.
What pretty little birds! We are having fun watching for the return of many of our songbirds as the springtime migration begins ... love this time of year!
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty, aren't they?! The territory usually takes part in the Audubon bird count and the last few annual ones have shown a decline in our native birds and in the ones that migrate to us.
DeleteBeautiful little birds, and you did get some good shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eva!
DeleteLove the colors!! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty! The birds in my yard always seem to see me coming with the camera and fly away. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been trying for a good hummingbird shot for months now but those efforts have so far proven quite shameful. LOL
DeleteThey are definitely cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty; I love yellow birds for some reason.
ReplyDeleteLike bits of stray sunshine!
DeleteI can totally relate to trying to "out-wait" a wary bird! Sometimes it takes me years, but I *will* prevail! LOL Loved your photos of a bird I've never seen before.
ReplyDeleteI keep my camera near the kitchen door so when I see them I try sidling out but by the time I've raised it, they're gone!
DeleteWhat gorgeous little visitors. I know how tricky bird photography is, I think you got some great shots of a beautiful bird I've never seen before. Sad to hear that they are declining.
ReplyDeleteHow totally cute!! You got such great pictures!
