Snapshot Saturday - a BVI Dollmaker

Today, I'm once again participating in Snapshot Saturday which is sponsored by Alyce of At Home With Books! Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

Each of Mrs. Titley's dolls has a name and a distinct personality.

She often uses found objects like the shells to make her pretty, whimsical dolls.

    1. Her store is right on Main Street so people drop in for a chat or call out to her as they pass and it's very sociable because she's working as she's talking and you get to see how she works her magic.

  5. There is something about seeing this lovely woman in her creative element. Fantastic pictures. The mermaid doll reminds me of the mami wata images a dear friend of mine brought back from Africa (she was a photographer and studied in Ghana one summer).

  6. They are amazing - it must take her so long to create each one, and you can see the love that goes into them. The mermaid is wonderful. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/BIJkg

  8. The dolls are pretty interesting and unique. Would love to see the face of the one the woman is working on. I have made cloth dolls and teddy bears and know they take time to do well. Granddaughters play with one or two I've made.
