Snapshot Saturday - ye olde Jamaica

Today, I'm once again participating in Snapshot Saturday which is sponsored by Alyce of At Home With Books! Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

Vintage Postcard - Kingston, Jamaica. 1950s.

From my collection of vintage postcards from the Caribbean and around the world.

  4. I love old post card photos. We've found many of them stored in my parents basement. Very cool. Thanks for sharing this, Eugenia!

  5. Another vintage postcard fan here. That one is lovely - not at all like I imagined Kingston would be, but I'll bet it's changed a bit since this was taken. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/vsILU

    1. I don't remember any part looking like this with the lawns when I went in the 90s but maybe I just didn't get to that area. :)

  6. I'm going to say the same as the others: I love old postcards too. Funny how we stopped sending them in the late sixties. . .

I've never seen a photo of urban Jamaica - of any vintage, so I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing! :-)

  7. Cool! I belong to Post Crossing, a site where you send a postcard to anyone in the world, and then you'll receive one back from another member who could live anywhere in the world.
